16-stop, 18-stop or 20-stop neutral density filtersSome manufacturers of regular camera filters, such as Kase, Lee, Formatt Hitech, and Nisi, make neutral density filters of sufficient strength that they can be used for solar photography as well as other long-exposure photography. Look for 16-stop, 18-stop or 20-stop neutral density filters.

shoot the partial phase with a filterWhether you have a DSLR or a smartphone, remember to always shoot the partial phase with a filter and the total phase without a filter. Similarly, you always want to look at the partial phase with specialised eclipse glasses (essentially a "filter"), and you can view the total phase without glasses.
注意事项Don't look at the sun through a camera lens, telescope, binoculars or any other optical device while wearing eclipse glasses or using a handheld solar viewer. The concentrated solar rays will burn through the filter on these devices and cause serious eye injury. Don't look at the eclipse while driving.
